NetSearch Media will submit a listing onto GoogleTM Maps on your behalf for an agreed one-off fee which will be confirmed on the invoice. GoogleTM will verify this request by sending a security code via a postcard which takes 2-3 weeks to arrive. Once received and given back to us we will finalise the process and your listing will then start to appear within 24 hours.

Ranking of listings:

Address: Enter your address the same way it would appear on a paper mail envelope.

Customers can see your ad whether they’re searching on laptops or mobile phones too.
Hours of operation: Let customers know when your business is open.
Payment options:Specify the payment types you accept.

Why can't I see my listing on Google Maps?

Are you trying to understand why your listing isn't appearing? On this page, we'll help you understand the most common issues.

1) Did you recently add or edit your business listing?

When we set up the listing for you we, Google sent out pin code verification either by text message, automated telephone call or postcard, has this been returned to us? We need this to finalise the listing before it will begin to appear.

2) Did you recently add or edit your business listing?
Our search results are based on algorithms that take a wide range of factors into account. When you make changes to your listing, it may shift that balance a bit. Your listing's placement in search results will vary, but in the long run, having a correct, comprehensive, and up-to-date listing is the most effective way to ensure the best possible ranking. Please make sure your listing complies with our Google Places quality guidelines.

Adwords Express

“Let’s put your business No.1 on the map!”

picture

Adwords Express is a faster and simpler way to start advertising online in under five minutes and is designed to help local businesses that aren't already Adwords advertisers create effective campaigns. Watch the video below to see how you can create and run an online campaign from start to finish in just a few clicks.

Adwords Express helps potential customers find your website or Place page and gives you a quick and straightforward way to connect with them and grow your business. You simply provide some basic business information; choose some wording for your text ad, select a monthly budget and your campaign is ready to go.

After you sign up, the campaign will be automatically managed for you. Adwords Express will figure out which searches should trigger your ad to appear and displays it when these searches happen. Your ad will be shown in the Ads section of search results pages—on the top or right hand side—and in Google Maps with a distinctive blue pin. Customers can see your ad whether they’re searching on laptops or mobile phones. With Adwords express, simply set up a monthly budget for your ad, and we’ll determine what search keywords trigger your ad based on the categories that you select. Your Adwords Express ad can appear alongside or above the search results as a “Sponsored Link”.

To make things even easier, Adwords Express optimizes your ads to get the most out of your advertising campaign and budget.

.

How It Works

When people search your area for the products or services you provide ("flowers in Liverpool", or if they're already in Liverpool, just "flowers") an ad for your business will appear above or beside their search results on the mail Google page and also on the map search results page. Your business will be marked with a distinctive blue pin on Google Maps, helping it stand out to potential customers.

Offers Places

Offers are a great way to provide special discounts and deals to potential customers who view your listing online. Customers can print out your offer and present it at your business location, or they can display the offer on their mobile device and present it to the client to be redeemed..

Contents of the Ad

Ad headline: Your business name will be the ad headline, which is in blue text at the top of the ad. When a customer clicks the headline, she'll be taken to the landing page that you've specified for your business.
Contact info: The address and phone number of your business as specified in your Google Places account will be listed.
Business description: Google automatically generates a description based on your Google Places listing, which you can edit in your ad.
Map pin: The blue Adwords Express pin will appear on your ad. When a customer clicks the blue pin, she'll be taken to your business location on Google Maps.
Stars and reviews: Stars and reviews will appear in your ad if your business has more than 2 reviews and a rating higher than 4 stars.

Cost/Budget

With Adwords Express, you control what you spend by setting a monthly budget for your ad. We'll also provide recommended budgets based on the category you picked.

Adwords Express automatically estimates how many people will click your ad when you specify a budget, helping you make an informed decision on how much to spend. What you spend on your ad is completely up to you. Here are a few things to keep in mind when setting your budget:

Multiple categories:
If you decide to run ads for your business in multiple categories, each category has its own budget. Together, this adds up to your total advertising budget.
For example, Max owns a musical instrument store and decides he wants to advertise both the piano and the guitar departments. Max creates an ad for each category, with a £100 budget for his piano ad and a £50 budget for his guitar ad. Assuming his monthly budget doesn't change, Max's total spends for the calendar month will be £150.

Multiple locations:
If you are advertising multiple business locations, you'll set a monthly budget for each location.
For example, Sarah owns three pet stores in London. She sets a £100 budget for each store. Assuming her monthly budget doesn't change, Sarah's total spends for the calendar month would be £300.

How Adwords Express local targeting works

Adwords Express is designed to help you reach customers in your area who are looking for businesses like yours. Adwords Express uses proximity targeting (also known as targeting a radius) to show your ad to people physically located near your business. In addition, we identify search terms to help you reach customers who are searching for businesses in your area.

Proximity targeting:
With proximity targeting, your ads are targeted to people within a default 25 km radius around your business location. The default 25 km radius helps ensures that you get sufficient traffic. Currently, the default radius can’t be edited in Adwords Express.

Search terms: Even if a customer isn’t located within your target radius, he might include terms related to your location in his search, such as postcodes codes or the name of nearby towns. We can identify locations in search terms to help you show your ads to the right customers. For example, let’s say that you own a furniture store in London. A potential customer in Manchester is shopping for a sofa in London. If he searches for "furniture store London", your ad may appear for his search.

Using Adwords Express with Adwords

Adwords advertisers can use Adwords Express as well to advertise their local business online.
However, keep in mind that Adwords provides you with more advertising options and finer controls. With Adwords, you can control keyword selection and bids, target both locally and nationally, get advanced reporting, and take advantage of different ad formats such as video, display on thousands of partner sites, and more. If you’re already using Adwords and are interested in local advertising options, you may want to consider signing up for location extensions.
